Seventeen places, in two groups. Guilin city and its county to the north; Yangshuo and the river valley to the south. Each guide tells you what the place actually is, how far it is, when to go and what it costs to get there.
The city itself, plus Longji and the Dong country beyond it.

Ninety minutes south of Guilin, at the end of the Li River cruise.

Almost everything sits on one line running north to south. The airport is west of Guilin. Guilin city is the middle. Yangshuo is 65 kilometres south of the city, at the end of the Li River. Longji is 90 kilometres north, and Chengyang 140 kilometres north beyond that.
The practical consequence: Guilin city sights are done in half a day, Yangshuo in one or two days, and Longji or Chengyang each take a full day because of the driving. We do not recommend trying to do Guilin city and Longji on the same day — the driving eats it.
