Is the price per person or per car?
Per car. The rate covers the vehicle and driver for the whole journey up to the seat limit — two people pay the same as one.
What is included in the price?
The driver, fuel, tolls, parking fees and an air-conditioned vehicle. Airport pickups include free waiting time. Entrance tickets, meals, guide service and insurance are not included.
Do the prices change with the season?
Only for Chinese New Year, the first week of May and the first week of October. Those are peak travel weeks in China and rates are higher. Everything outside those weeks is the published price.
How do I pay?
A deposit at the time of booking, then the balance at the end of the service, in CNY or by card. The deposit amount and the accepted payment methods are stated in your confirmation, so there is nothing to work out on the day.
Do you charge for extra hours?
A day trip is quoted for a set number of hours — usually eight or nine — and the whole of that time is included. If you want to extend, tell the driver early in the day so he can check the vehicle is free; extra hours are CNY 100 (about $15) per hour, agreed before you continue rather than added at the end.
