The driver stays with the vehicle for the whole day while you walk, eat and take photos. The hours in the price are door-to-door service time, not driving time — you are not charged extra for the hours you spend on foot.

Morning pickup

Collected from your Guilin hotel

Usually around 08:00-08:30 depending on the cruise slot we secure. The exact time is confirmed the evening before.

Zhujiang Wharf

Dropped at the cruise terminal

About 40 minutes from downtown. Your driver helps you find the right ticket gate, then drives round to Yangshuo to meet you.

The cruise

About 4 hours on the water

The boat passes the karst peaks the region is famous for — Nine Horses Mural Hill, Yellow Cloth Shoal, and the scenery on the back of the 20-yuan note.

Yangshuo

We meet you at the wharf

Your driver is waiting when the boat docks. From here you can head straight back to Guilin, or stop in Yangshuo for a couple of hours first — just tell the driver.

Back to your Guilin hotel

About 90 minutes by road. In total the day runs around 8 hours door to door.

Before you go

Bring your passport — it is checked when buying the cruise ticket.
Cruise tickets are not included in the car price; we can book them for you or you can buy at the wharf.
The boat is not covered — bring a hat and sunscreen between April and October.
If you would rather stay in Yangshuo overnight, ask us to drop you there instead and skip the return leg.

Questions

Is the cruise ticket included in the price?

No. The price shown is for the private car and driver — hotel pickup, the drive to Zhujiang Wharf, and collection in Yangshuo plus the drive back. Cruise tickets are bought separately and we can arrange them for you.

Which direction does the cruise run?

The standard route is Guilin to Yangshuo, downstream, which takes about four hours. Boats going the other way take longer because they travel against the current.

Can we stay in Yangshuo instead of returning?

Yes. Many guests do exactly that — we drop you and your luggage in Yangshuo and the day ends there. Tell us when you book so the price reflects it.

What time does the day start and finish?

Pickup is usually 08:00-08:30 and you are back in Guilin around 16:30-17:00. The exact time depends on the cruise slot we secure for you.

Is there food on the boat?

Simple lunch is usually available on board for an extra charge, and there is a drinks trolley. Quality is basic — many guests bring snacks.

Can we do this with young children or older parents?

Yes, it is one of the gentlest days out we run — most of it is sitting on a boat. Tell us ages and we will bring a child seat if needed.
