Guilin has three railway stations and they are not next to each other. Your ticket names the one you arrive at — we collect from all three, at the same price, with a sign bearing your name at the exit gate.
Your ticket names it in Chinese. Here is what each one means for the drive into town.
Swipe the table sideways for all four columns.
| Station | Where it is | Trains that stop | To the centre |
|---|---|---|---|
| Guilin Station 桂林站 | City centre, Zhongshan South Road | Slower trains and some D services | 3 km · 10 min |
| Guilin North 桂林北站 | Diecai district, north of the river | Most high-speed trains from Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Guiyang | 8 km · 20 min |
| Guilin West 桂林西站 | Lingui district, west of the city | Guiyang–Guangzhou high-speed line | 12 km · 25 min |
Per car, one way, to any hotel in downtown Guilin. All three stations cost the same.
Train number, arrival station and hotel name. If you have not bought the ticket yet, tell us where you are coming from and we will say which of the three stations leaves you closest to your hotel.
Chinese high-speed trains are usually punctual, but when one runs late we move the pickup rather than charge you for the wait. That is why the train number matters more than the arrival time.
Only ticket-holders reach the platforms, so we meet you outside the exit gate of the arrivals hall. The sign is in Latin letters, spelled as you gave it to us.
Depending on which station you land at. Your driver helps with the cases and drops you at the hotel door rather than on the nearest main road.
A missed train or a change of station costs nothing to move, as long as we hear from you before the driver sets out.
From Guilin Station, honestly, sometimes yes. That station sits in the middle of the city, and a metered taxi to a downtown hotel is a short ride of roughly CNY 15–25. If there are two of you, you have one suitcase, you arrive in daylight and your hotel is in the centre, take the taxi. We would rather say so than sell you a car you do not need.
A booked car earns its price in the cases where a taxi does not work:
From Guilin North and Guilin West the calculation changes anyway. Both sit well outside the centre, the taxi queue is unreliable late at night, and a fixed price agreed in advance is worth more than a meter you cannot read.

Tell us the train number, the station and your hotel. You get a fixed price back within two hours during office hours, and the driver’s name the day before you travel.
