Why book with a local operator

Six differences that matter

1. There is no commission in the price

Booking platforms take 20–30% of what you pay. The operator either absorbs it — meaning less money for the car, the driver and the maintenance — or adds it on top. Booking direct removes that layer. On a Guilin airport transfer the difference is real money for the same vehicle.

2. The price is fixed in writing before you travel

Not "from", not "approximately", not "plus tolls". We confirm a figure by email or WhatsApp, and that is what you pay. Fuel, expressway tolls and parking are inside it.

3. We own the cars and employ the drivers

When a driver calls in sick, we send another car because we have one. A reseller has to phone around and hope. This is the difference between a company and a website.

4. One office answers the phone

The person who quoted you is in the same office as the person who answers at 23:00 when your flight is cancelled. There is no ticket queue and no "contact your local operator".

5. We tell you when you do not need us

Elephant Trunk Hill is a ten-minute walk from most downtown hotels and the best view is from the free public bank opposite. We will say so. A shop that sells car hire for a living has an interest in you hiring a car for everything; we would rather you trusted the next recommendation.

6. Twenty years of the same routes

We have been running Guilin–Yangshuo, the Longji mountain road and the airport run since 2005. We know which wharf your boat leaves from, where the driver can legally park at each sight, and how long the Ping'an climb actually takes at a normal pace.

What we are not

• We are not the cheapest. You can find a driver at the Guilin train station for less. You will also be quoted one price and charged another, and the car will not be insured for passengers.
• We are not a tour company with guides. We provide cars and drivers. Guides are arranged separately and charged separately.
• We do not offer self-drive hire. Every vehicle comes with a driver, which is what our insurance covers.
